Terrell Owens Says The Jets Are Desperate And Need Him

Terrell Owens is going to force his way onto the New York Jets whether they like it or not.

Now whether they reciprocate the love is a different story.

Sunday Terrell Owens took twitter to let the struggling New York Jets know he was available and had a soft spot for them.

Pro Football Talk via TSN is reporting that Owens let his feeling about the Jets be known again.

“The fact that the Jets are using cornerback Antonio Cromartie at wide receiver shows that they’re desperate, and they need an experienced receiver like me.”

“I’ve read a lot of tweets and everybody’s saying that I’m desperate, I’m begging for a job,” Owens said. “But it’s not begging for a job when you know you can still play at a high level, given the opportunity. When you have a defensive back playing offense and running routes, then I think that’s more desperate than my actual tweet itself.”

Owens thinks the Jets aren’t reciprocating the love because they deem him a distraction based of his lovely reputation.

Terrell for his part disputes that.

“That’s definitely a part of it,” Owens said. “I’ve matured. There’s things I’ve done in my career that I can honestly say were said and done out of immaturity.”

I’m not sure what the Jets issue is. Imagine the circus turning down a popular clown act or high wire act.

Feel bad for TO, but I’m surprised that the Jets have not bothered to get some help after Holmes went down with an injury.
